Janet has a track record of building relationships with key stakeholders. She leverages her technical and project management expertise across a portfolio of ongoing schemes both in her capacity as a professional trustee and in a scheme management role.

Janet is an experienced pension professional with a track record of managing complex pension schemes, both leading and providing support to the Trustee Board and working and liaising with all scheme advisers, providing a high standard of scheme governance.

Janet leads and supports independent trustee appointments and brings that expertise to her other roles. Her strengths include finding pragmatic solutions to the vast range of issues affecting pension schemes, which need detailed knowledge of both DB and DC pensions. She has the ability to understand and communicate complex issues whilst appreciating the interaction of legislation, schemes rules and scheme practice and the different priorities of the different stakeholders concerned. Her experience of leading some major member communication exercises has benefited from a considered approach to breaking down complex issues into easy-to-understand language for members and trustees alike.

Janet is a fully accredited professional trustee with the Association of Professional Pension Trustees.

  • Previously managed an £800m scheme from buy in to buy out. Involved significant technical challenges to be worked through and negotiated with buyin/buy out insurers
    Responsible for drafting and implementing policies and processes on data protection/GDPR and AAF requirements
  • Wide experience of data protection/GDPR and all aspects of scheme governance.
  • Multi-media advertising campaign on pensions at the Financial Services Authority. Member comms exercises for clients using Likeminds and other specialist communication consultancies
  • Took a very large scheme (20,000 members) into PPF assessment period and then out again as funding level sufficient. Dealt with other schemes in PPF assessment
