Manpreet Sohal elected to join the APPT Council

We’re excited to announce that Manpreet Sohal has been elected to join the Council of the Association of Professional Pension Trustees (APPT). The election follows on from her appointment as Chair of the APPT’s Diversity and Inclusion Sub-Committee in June, a role that sees her working to raise awareness of the importance of diversity within the pensions trustee industry, as well equipping trustees with education and training on D&I topics.

Manpreet’s election to the Council is another significant step for Ross Trustees, creating further opportunities to share expertise and contribute to the development of the wider profession.

Manpreet was part of the founding team at Ross Trustees and, in addition to her professional trustee appointments, oversees the pensions manager and secretariat arms of the business. Her work on diversity and inclusion involves chairing our own working group that champions and supports inclusivity.

During her time at the APPT to date, Manpreet has led on the launch of “KnowHow”, which offers hints and tips for trustee boards on how best to approach diversity and inclusion.

Manpreet says “I am really pleased to have been elected to join the Council and to have the opportunity to represent my profession.  I have been part of the industry for over ten years and the expectations of professional trustees have never been higher.  I am looking forward to being part of a group actively championing the concerns of my peers and ensuring the interests of scheme members are best served. “
