Paul joined IGG in 2018, and prior to this was a Pensions Project Operations and Administration Manager for a well-known third-party administrator, having worked in all aspects of Trust-based pensions administration and projects for over 20 years.

Paul is an experienced Scheme Secretary having worked on appointments with assets varying from £5bn to £10m and enjoys building long-term working relationship on his appointments.

Paul has experience working with both DB, DC and MasterTrust Trustees on all aspects of day-to-day pension scheme management as well as a range of complex matters such as adviser reviews, administration transition projects, benefit rectification exercises, pension scheme wind up and employer led member options exercises.

Paul plays a key role within IGG guiding schemes through Pension Protection Fund assessment periods and Financial Compensation Fund claims, achieving the best possible outcome for scheme members.

Paul is an Accredited Trustee with the Association of Pension Trustees and a Member of The Institute of Leadership and Management.

  • Navigating a scheme with c6k members and £600m assets into the Pension Protection Fund PPF following the insolvency of its principal employer
  • Acting as interim Scheme Secretary for a newly created pension scheme with c£5bn assets and c25k members whilst the “inhouse” team was recruited.
  • Obtaining Financial Compensation Fund compensation for a Scheme which had suffered an act of dishonesty.
  • Share of a pension scheme surplus between an Employer and Members after the purchase of full scheme benefits with a UK insurance company
