Laura is an experienced pensions professional having worked in large third-party pensions teams since 2014. Her experience has equipped her with strong expertise in pensions operations, administration, project management, governance and secretarial.

Laura has a wealth of experience working with schemes of varying sizes and complexities. She has led and been involved in a variety of projects including, administration and operational reviews, residual risk due diligence ahead of insurance transactions, scheme mergers, data and benefit reviews and remediation. Laura prides herself on building strong working relationships with clients, advisers and scheme sponsors, ensuring collaboration and successful outcomes.

Laura supports Trustee Directors in the management of Defined Benefit schemes. She provides scheme secretarial support, coordinating trustee meetings to facilitate effective decision-making, and ensures actions are completed promptly. She confirms compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements and manages Trustee business plans, while maintaining core scheme governance documents. Laura also oversees a variety of projects, ensuring they are delivered within agreed timelines and budgets.

 

I wanted to put on record my thanks to Laura for the super facilitation of the meeting today and bringing in the best practices and shared learning from the IGG team. Laura quickly established a good rapport with the trustee board and is super responsive to trustee queries and action requests. This will all be of great benefit to Trustee board governance going forward as the agenda, regulation, legislation and opportunities continue to evolve. It’s great to know the Plan is in extremely capable hands going forward.

Director, Pensions & Benefits £1.2bn scheme

  • Started in pensions administration in 2014 at Xafinity (now XPS).
  • Moved to KPMG (now Isio), with a dual role as both a manager on the Operational Excellence in Pensions Team and the Governance Team.
  • Led a variety of different projects across a range of schemes of different sizes – including administration reviews, data and benefit rectification projects, due diligence ahead of insurance transactions, scheme merger and tender exercises etc.
  • Provided scheme secretarial services, which included: co-ordination of Trustee Meetings, preparation of agenda, monitored completion of agreed action points, ensured legislative and regulatory requirements were met, maintained scheme governance documentation and enabled the smooth-running of the scheme.
  • Understands clients needs and creates strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Completed The Pension Regulator’s Trustee Toolkit.
