IGG Launches Project Management Office

Today, we launch our new Trustee-led Project Management Office (PMO), a dedicated team of experienced pensions professionals who help trustee boards and scheme sponsors successfully deliver increasingly complex and sensitive strategic projects.

We have developed the new service in response to growing demand from trustee boards and scheme sponsors undertaking more ambitious change programmes amid evolving regulatory and governance expectations.

Trustees are increasingly responsible for overseeing complex projects and programmes, including risk transfer transactions, run-on strategies, scheme mergers, governance reviews, service provider transitions and rectification exercises. At the same time, they must balance competing priorities and manage multiple interdependencies within an increasingly regulated and professionalised environment.

In response to these challenges, we created a Trustee-led PMO that combines specialist pensions expertise with structured project management best practice. The service provides the governance, coordination and oversight needed to deliver complex projects efficiently and effectively. Led by Stephanie Jenner, Head of Project Management Office, the team brings more than 45 years of pensions project management experience, and every colleague holds PRINCE2 accreditation.

The PMO serves as the central point of coordination for all stakeholders. The team helps schemes define clear objectives, establish efficient ways of working, develop robust plans and budgets, and agree actions within a governance framework that identifies and manages risks and dependencies. By maintaining momentum across multiple workstreams and providing oversight from initiation through to completion, the PMO keeps projects on track and focused on successful outcomes.

We work closely with each scheme and trustee board to provide tailored support, ranging from project oversight and governance support to full end-to-end project delivery.

Our Trustee-led PMO has been designed specifically around the way Trustee boards operate. By combining project management expertise with first-hand experience of trusteeship and pensions governance, we navigate all types of projects with greater clarity, confidence and control.”

The launch marks another milestone in IGG’s continued growth as it expands the breadth of services it offers to pension schemes, following the acquisition of KGC Associates and multiple strategic hires over the past year.
