Dan is an experienced pensions governance professional with more than 18 years in the industry, helping trustees and sponsors strengthen governance, improve operational effectiveness and deliver better outcomes for members.

Combining strong technical expertise with excellent communication skills, he supports boards through complex decisions by translating technical pensions issues into clear, practical solutions aligned with scheme objectives, regulatory requirements and member interests.

His experience spans both DB and DC arrangements and includes outsourced pensions management, scheme governance, administration oversight, trustee secretarial services and major strategic projects. He has worked with schemes of all sizes across the public and private sectors, including FTSE 100 organisations, helping boards manage risk, strengthen controls and navigate change confidently.

Dan has extensive experience managing trustee boards, committees, advisers and key stakeholders, alongside leading projects such as GMP equalisation, adviser reviews, governance gap analyses, cyber security reviews, provider procurement exercises and regulatory matters. He is known for building trusted relationships and delivering pragmatic, member-focused governance solutions.

An 18-month secondment to the in-house pensions team of a FTSE 100 retailer further strengthened his expertise in governance, stakeholder management and operational improvement, reinforcing his reputation as a trusted adviser focused on strong governance and member outcomes.
