IGG leads industry group to complete the Three Peaks

IGG led a 19-strong team made up of volunteers from across the pensions industry to successfully complete the Three Peaks Challenge this weekend, raising over £13,000 for Alzheimer’s Society. The amount raised continues to increase.

IGG was represented on the walk by: Andrew Bradshaw, Bang Hoang, David Preston, Mariarosa Rossi, Mark Wileman, Philippa Wilson, Rachel Croft, Richard Haslam, Ryan Hubley and Suraj Gandecha.

They were joined by: Aaron Dunning-Foreman (Gowling WLG), Adam Turgoose (Mercer), Amanda Beale (Aon), Jacob Shah (LCP), Mark Skelton (WTW), Rick Percival (Isio), Stuart O’Brien (Sackers), Thimal Kollure (Mercer) and Wayne Berry (Hymans Robertson).

The Three Peaks Challenge involves ascending and descending Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon / Yr Wyddfa – the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales respectively – in the space of 24 hours. The tasks started late afternoon on the Saturday and completed 24 hours later, in glorious sunshine as opposed to the storms on Ben Nevis. The trip was led and organised by Chasing Summits.

IGG has been fundraising for Alzheimer’s Society throughout the year. The Three Peaks Challenge follows other fundraisers such as the inaugural bInGGO event in May.

It was teamwork that underpinned what the group achieved last weekend fuelled by grit, camaraderie and Percy Pigs. Raising so much for an important cause through the generosity of others is just brilliant and I know I speak on behalf of the entire group when I say thank you to everyone who supported the challenge through their kind donations.”
