Helen has 15 years’ experience of providing trusteeship services to a variety of schemes and is responsible for our relationship with the PPF.

Helen has specific skills for schemes that are in the process of securing benefits with an insurer,  going through a restructuring exercise or that have entered a Pension Protection Fund (PPF) assessment period.

Helen holds the PMI Award in Pension Trusteeship and is a Fellow of the Pensions Management Institute (FPMI). Helen is also fully-accredited trustee with the Association of Professional Pension Trustees.

  • Helen is Lead Director on a portfolio of sole trustee appointments some of which are in PPF assessment and has overall responsibility for the management of the PPF contract
    – Defined Benefit buyouts
    – Project management of schemes going through a wind-up / buyout process
    – De-risking exercises
    – Investment strategy reviews
    – Employer negotiations for triennial valuations
    – Conduct of benefit and data audits
    – Implementation of benefit rectification exercises
    – Managing client expectations via regular portfolio reviews
  • Previously worked for 7 years with a leading benefits consultancy specialising in scheme discontinuance with overall responsibility for a team of 15, delivering:
    – Production of project plans for schemes in wind-up from start to finish
    – Completion of DC, DB and DB with GMP underpin scheme wind-ups
    – Producing member bulletins providing updates on progress of wind-up
    – Managing client expectations via regular progress reports
    – Co-ordinating professional advisers to an agreed project plan
