Joe is an accomplished project manager with strong expertise in pension provision and excellent interpersonal skills, enabling him to consistently deliver positive outcomes for clients.

As the main point of contact for many clients, including both trustees and advisers, he has extensive experience managing a wide range of Defined Benefit (DB) scheme matters.

Joe is currently working towards completing his Advanced Diploma in Retirement Provision, has successfully passed both Awards in Pension Trusteeship exams, and is on track to achieve trustee accreditation in 2025.

  • Building strong relationships with advisers and trustee boards, while managing ongoing actions
  • Conducting adviser review exercises to ensure value for money (VfM) from scheme advisers
  • Developing and delivering member communications
  • Extensive project management experience across Bulk Transfers, Liability Management, Section 75 debt exercises, Adviser transitions, Buy-ins, and Buy-outs
  • Maintaining and regularly updating governance frameworks and documentation
  • Managing financial performance and benchmarking to drive value for money across all scheme activities
  • Managing the Trustee Report and Accounts process
  • Overseeing day-to-day scheme operations and ensuring smooth delivery of services
  • Preparing for, attending and presenting, and following up on trustee meetings
  • Supporting pensions managers in the daily running of schemes and delivery of key projects
  • Supporting schemes with Effective System of Governance (ESOG) and Own Risk Assessment (ORA) requirements
  • Expert in strategic trustee advice and long-term pension scheme planning
  • Leads adviser reviews and broker appointments for transaction readiness
  • Experience in buy-in/buy-out transactions and s75 debt exercises
  • Supports compliance with the General Code, ESOG, and ORA requirements
  • Key member of IGG’s Outsourced Governance Services (OGS) team
  • Day-to-day Scheme Secretary lead for multiple pension schemes
  • Collaborates with pension managers to provide operational and project support
