Defined Contribution (DC) pension arrangements are the primary form of occupational pension provision for new employees in the UK.

Although often regarded as a less complex less volatile alternative to their defined benefit (DB) counterparts, they still require expert and thorough management, especially in relation to governance and member communications.

Demonstrating significant scale and diversity in the Master Trust market, IGG holds 10 professional trustee appointments to UK DC Master Trusts, including 5 as Chair. We look after the DC retirement savings of £37bn for over 2 million members. Our Trustee Directors chair specialist committees, including member communications, administration, and investments. We also provide scheme secretarial and governance services to a further 3 DC Master Trusts.

A large number of our DB pension scheme clients who also have DC arrangements have chosen IGG to act as trustee across both sides of their occupational pension offering.
