IGG Announces 19 Promotions

Independent Governance Group (IGG), a leading provider of professional pensions trusteeship, governance and communication services, today announces 19 promotions as it continues to strengthen its industry-leading team.

Lewis Drew, Luke Wilcox and Sue Barber transition into Trustee Director roles, recognising their professionalism, leadership, and growing portfolio of trustee appointments.

Lewis sits within IGG’s Risk Transfer team, bringing significant expertise in funding negotiations and buy-ins, and overseeing a broad portfolio of scheme appointments as a professional trustee, taking on roles such as co-trustee, Chair of Trustees, and professional corporate sole trustee. Luke, meanwhile, has extensive regulatory experience having previously worked for 14 years at The Pensions Regulator (TPR) in leadership roles spanning functions in regulatory compliance and market oversight. Sue has almost 30 years in the pensions industry and has been working in the professional pension trustee area since joining Independent Trustee Services (now IGG) in 2010.

Accredited Trustees Bang Hoang, Ian Wilson, Jake Churchill, Karen Collins and Katherine Kitt have all been promoted to Associate Director. Meanwhile, Stephanie Jenner steps into a new role as Associate Director and Head of Project Management. The promotions, effective from 1 December, also see Eleanor Rowe, Laura Dawkin and Laura Foley progress into Trustee Manager positions, while Adam Whitehead, Sena Erkas and Victoria Baxter move into new responsibilities as Senior Associates.

IC Select, the Edinburgh-based specialist oversight and selection consultancy that is part the IGG Group, sees two team members promoted, with Daniel Portmann moving into the role of Senior Associate and Hamish Gellatly stepping up as Associate.

Meanwhile, to further strengthen IGG’s central services team, Rachel Trayner is promoted to Head of Internal Communications & Engagement, and Orla Cottell becomes PA Team Lead.

This latest promotion round reflects the breadth of expertise within IGG’s growing national presence, at all levels across IGG’s investment, outsourced governance, secretariat and central services teams. It follows last week’s news that IGG has acquired pensions consultancy KGC Associates, further strengthening its governance offering.
